Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with a highly skilled and supportive team, this role will be responsible for our HGV workshop.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Workshop Foreman to support our service department at Shaw Commercials, Castlebar. This role focuses on workshop efficiency and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of technicians in a fast-paced Renault Trucks workshop
- Assign and manage daily workload to maximise efficiency
- Oversee quality control and ensure all work meets Renault Trucks standards
- Assist with diagnostics, complex repairs, and fault finding
- Maintain accurate job cards, documentation, and warranty compliance
- Liaise with Service Advisors, Parts, and Management
- Maintain workshop organisation, safety, and productivity
- Support technician development and continuous training
- Handle escalated customer concerns professionally
- Qualified HGV/Plant Mechanic
- Experience as Foreman/Senior Technician Or Master Tech is desirable
- Strong diagnostic and leadership skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Truck license desirable but not essential
